I have bought several pairs of these boots with velcro closure and they fit my kids perfectly. The locking buckle is a little more disappointing. They were difficult to tighten and the lace closure literally broke the first time we tried to tighten them. We had to use them for a hike so I removed the buckle and laced them up regular style and they worked fine but I sent them back anyway and ordered the velcro again. I'm increasing my rating because the company had great customer service. They sent me another pair of velcro boots for free. Maybe the pair of buckle strap boots I received was an accident and they will fit you perfectly. For pure customer service, I wouldn't be afraid to try them out if I were you. I now have both mesh and insulated boots for my boys and for the price and given how quickly kids outgrow things I can't say enough good things about these boots overall.
