I've been an Oster customer for 30 years now they lost me. The clipper (and blades) are great, but they changed the design to make the power button very brittle and easy to hit. The previous rocker switch design made a lot more sense. My switch broke within the warranty period but after a 30 day Revain return. Auster's voided warranty is old school. Send the unit to a repair center, wait a few weeks, they may charge you, and then another week or two for a return. And yet there is no product. But I use clippers more than once a week, so I'd have to buy another clipper or turn into a crazy hippie with hair touching my ears (I'm not in a rock band anymore, so that's not an option). ). went back and forth with oster trying to explain the issue with this warranty repair policy but to no avail. Bottom line: I manually removed the switch, reconfigured it to be always on, and Auster lost a longtime customer. But at least I get my boyish looks back.
