Review on Rangeland Business Backpack Approved Daypack Backpacks in Laptop Backpacks by Sasha Holmes

Compression straps drive you crazy

Some things I like, some things I don't like. Decided to return. Advantages: - The vertical zipper of the front pocket is on the left. Most vertical zipper backpacks are on the right side. For right-handers like me, when I need quick access to items in my front pocket, I wrap the pack around my left arm from the back, forward so I can reach with my right hand. This gives my right hand easy access to the laptop/tablet pocket and front pocket. If you're left-handed, that's good for you: most backpacks with vertical zip pockets seem to be made for you! The handle is comfortable. Flattens out nicely to pack in a large backpack or suitcase. Or you can use it as a packing cube for the same purpose and take your backpack with you when you get to your destination. Cons: - Material and zippers only seem to be "good" quality. For the price it's forgivable and I can't comment on actual durability as I've decided to return it but I'm not sure it will hold up over time. However, other reviewers seem to rate it well, so maybe it's better than I think. Compression straps are just ridiculous. They are only used for tactical optics and interfere with practical use. Pulling them tight won't shrink the bag much, and loosening them completely will sag way more than you could ever use without damaging the zippers, except maybe you're using them to attach things to bind the page. your backpack or clip. When tightened, the extra strap just hangs over the laptop's zipper, which is a bit annoying when sliding the laptop in and out. Leaving them open all the time makes it easier for you to get in and out of the main compartment, but they still get in the way. They appear to be sewn to the backpack so I would try removing them if I was keeping this. The front straps look easier. The rear side straps may require some sewing skill to remove without causing damage. On the other hand, most other reviewers don't seem to mind the compression straps, but I feel like it's the elephant in the room when it comes to the usability of this backpack.
