Review on OneTigris Drawstring Water Bottle Carrier Pouch for 32oz - Convenient Size: 9.4"x3.7 by Russell Wong

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Looks like they broke up after two weeks. The company supplied a replacement which failed the same way.

The bag itself is nice and sturdy and holds 1 liter of Smartwater. I was able to securely attach the pouch to the backpack with the molle strap. BUT. Making a bag out of expensive and durable 1000D Cordura is pointless when the lanyard channel sewn around the lip is made of gauze. After only 2 weeks of EDC operation, the lanyard channel began to detach from the main body of the pouch. Milspec? I do not think so. Update: OneTigris was kind enough to send me a new case for free. I haven't had a chance to try the new one yet. To give them an edge when in doubt, I'll add two stars. I will definitely come back to this review when I have time to test the replacement. A quick check reveals that the drawstring still runs through a very thin channel of nylon webbing sewn onto the much thicker fabric of the 1000D bag. I don't expect the results to be significantly different, but we'll have to wait and see. Update to update: I was finally able to test the replacement and unfortunately the result was identical. Within 5 days of wearing 1 liter of SmartWater, the razor-thin fabric of the tip channel ripped. I can conclude that this product has a fatal design flaw and should be avoided at all costs. If OneTigris changes the design of the product I'll review it, but until then I'll give it one star.
