I bought these lamps as toys rather than decoration because I knew my kids (almost 2 and 7 years old) would love them. I was absolutely right! The lamps are very easy to assemble (simply insert the fibers into the lamp base) and work without batteries. The light is visible both at the base of the fibers (because part of it is not connected to the fibers) and at a point at the end of each of the fibers. The lamp constantly changes color and most often has more than one color that gives a pleasant feeling. If we look at them in daylight they are not very visible, but in a dark room they really stand out. Overall my two kids had a blast playing with them in the darkroom and blowing, shaking etc lamps to play with light (I'm leaving a photo to show the cool effects we made with it). Despite the torture, they are in very good condition, only losing a few threads after 3 days of play.
