The ring lamp and stand are easy to assemble The unit comes with a remote control and it is important to match the channel with the lighting channel after that on. Light for example if the light shows channel 19 and the remote shows channel 14 the remote will not work until you sync the remote to the light. Press and hold the center button on the remote for about 7 seconds, then scroll through the channels until you find them. The light itself is bright, very good quality, nice performance, you will not be disappointed. The light has options from 3300K to 5600 Kelvan, 5600 is the coldest light, 3300K is the warmest glow. If you lose the remote control, you cannot manually change the Kelvans. I didn't like that part so don't lose the remote control. He has the opportunity to buy spare batteries. I bought them by putting them in the batteries that powered the light. it showed the battery level. I connected the flashlight to charge the batteries and unfortunately they didn't have a built in battery charging function so you have to manually charge them with mini USB cables and then plug them back into the flashlight after charging. Batteries are good and a great option for transportation to areas where there is no electricity. But not being able to charge batteries with light when plugged in is the reason for 4 stars vs 5 for me who wants to charge batteries every time you want to go portable or have that sporadic moment you do want to take this into the wild if you forgot to recharge it. Also for me it's a great light that fits almost anyone who needs it, it has a good phone mount, it's durable.
