This color coded SummitLink 3 to 3 audio cable for my old Logitech 5.1 channel speakers (which still sound great) works great with a 3.5mm stereo audio splitter 3 jack that I bought from Revain at the same time. Time. I used speakers with regular 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable but with that I couldn't hear all 5 speakers, only 3 of them. I decided to move the 5.1 speakers to my new HD TV in the living room and was ready to buy a new set of speakers until I ran out of an adapter (small box) and cable (that had a short) to connect it my HDTV thought of my bedroom. The new connection with the specified cables worked so well with the Logitech 5.1 speakers in the living room that I replaced the cables in the Logitech 5.1 speakers in the bedroom with new ones (since I ordered two of each) and the sound was awesome! This splitter, along with a color-coded 3-to-3 cable, is a dream and a money saver! Loving sound from my two HDTVs! If you have an old 5.1 speaker system that still works fine but the color coded cable that came with it no longer works, I highly recommend you try what I did before you buy new speakers.
