WOW, brand name masks are terrible. They don't hold the shape of your face filter, so the valves don't work well and are of poor quality. Also, when it sticks to the mouth, breathing becomes more difficult; The only surface of the filter you breathe through is the small part of the filter that sticks to your mouth and nose. ALSO THERE ARE NO OFF-BRAND FILTERS - THERE IS NO CARBON LAYER. I cut an unbranded white filter in half and it only had a few layers of white material in it. BASE CAMP has these layers, thick cotton layers (like stretching a cotton swab), other unknown filter layers and of course a black activated carbon layer. TO BREATHE. If you remove the filters you will see an amazing complexity. There are a few materials I can't identify, cotton swab like layers and of course a layer of activated charcoal. To exhale from this filter they have two adjustable valves that make breathing very easy. CLEANABLE VALVES are far superior to valves from other manufacturers. The valves themselves are BREAKABLE and unlike all other brands can be completely cleaned. You can point in any direction when you put it back into the mask and unlike ALL others, it DOES NOT BLARE MY GLASSES. The ADJUSTABLE velcro allows you to ALWAYS wear the mask TIGHT and adjust to your liking. **Those complaining that it doesn't seal should check out the full guide and it will show you how to fix it easily - see below and attached IMAGE. **I saw one reviewer who didn't watch the video in the product description and mistakenly thought they weren't comfortable/tight enough. The way I attach mine is VERY COMFORTABLE and very similar to the second example in the video (where you pull the straps in a "V" shape at the back of your head so they are nice and snug against your chin). I make a V but then fold the rest of the strap over the other strap so it still looks almost like I'm wearing it without pulling the straps in a "V" to tighten them. I sent the attached picture to my family and they found it very helpful. Without exception the best MASK and FILTER on the market. Affordable, customizable, cleanable, reusable and customizable - that was what I needed in the current situation in the world.
