I like battery operated candles because I'd rather leave them on all night than use night lights. When I saw this candle in a local shop I had to look at it several times before realizing it was fake. Then I wanted to touch life like a flame! I didn't do it because I was afraid I might break it and then own it. I came back to watch it over and over again, couldn't believe my eyes. The "flame" of this candle is a thin piece of plastic balanced on a thin wire. I think the warmth of the small flame in the candle is what makes this "flame" move. It's so realistic you won't believe it's a fake candle. It also has a timer. When you plug it into the timer section of the switch, it "burns" for five hours and then turns off. If you leave it at this setting, it will turn on at the same time every night and stay on for five hours. You can also use the normal setting to turn it on and off as you like. I've had mine for about three and a half weeks now, I leave it on the timer and it's still working, haven't had to change batteries yet. I installed mine in my bedroom and it gives you a sense of calm and relaxation when you step in and see the flickering of this candle. It seems a little pricey but I think it's worth the investment.
