I needed a lap table to use my small laptop while sitting on the couch. This was one of the few that was wide enough to fit a mouse. When I opened the package I was immediately disappointed. Not only was he light, he was fragile. Flexible. I tried it anyway and it's almost unusable. It flexes and flexes as you use it. Putting a mouse on it and trying to use the mouse isn't going to work because the weight of your hand (and I'm small) will bend the plastic so much that the entire top part will bend up. There's a tiny lip all the way around that digs into your hands when you're typing or mouse clicking. And the padding at the bottom isn't enough and you can't redistribute it. I had an old laptop with a laminated top that I gave away. It had a hard, rigid top, beveled edges, and a bunch of beads at the bottom. i want to return it
