Review on ESPRO Cleaning Powder: Ultimate Deep Clean for Coffee and Tea Micro-filters - 4.4 Ounce by Helen Keffer

I wish I had taken a 'before' photo as it has restored my many years and much used P1 travel press to near mint condition. I washed it with washing up liquid and a brush after each use as per the very old instructions but at that point it looked almost copper colored on the inside. Soaking a tea filter in hot water with a teaspoon of ESPRO cleaning powder in a press (P1 500ml) for 30 minutes transformed the interior from steampunk residue I couldn't scrub off with a brush and soap to pristine silvery stainless steel. The tea filter strainer is silver again and the plastic is black and shiny, no foil. The pressure on the piston has been significantly reduced. The only parts he didn't fully restore were the silicone gaskets around the top and bottom of the tea filter. They're noticeably cleaner (including under the channels around the basket) but not as white as new. I'm very glad I bought this and wish I had noticed sooner.
