Sometimes there are so many reviews talking about the same thing that you just don't understand how it happens. I know this time. I can tell you 100% honestly that after the first use my beard was as soft as anything you can imagine, really soft in comparison. The smell is mild but yes, like that old barber shop I used to go to as a kid. I used to use a light blow dryer to straighten my beard, but after that it wasn't necessary. AMAZING THING! I applied bourbon flavored oil (it didn't really smell like bourbon) and it gave a beautiful shine. It's becoming difficult for me to go back to what I used before.
