Very comfortable fabric. The waist elastic makes the tie cords unnecessary. If you don't want to bother with tying the trousers, you don't need to. The cargo-pant style leg pockets lay flat against the trouser leg, rather than flopping out and looking sloppy like so many cargo pants. There are also two regular front/side pockets and one seat pocket on the right side.I normally wear a size 34 waist, but need a size 33. Most manufacturers seem to have done away with odd sizes. The size chart for these says the medium fits a 32.7" waist. They fit me perfectly at the waist. They are too long, but I have short legs and am used to having to alter almost any pants I buy.These would absolutely deserve a five-star rating but for the fabric thickness. In darker colors, this might not be a problem, but the white ones I ordered are very nearly see-through. I'm quite sure that, if caught in a rainstorm, I would essentially be naked from the waist down. Guess I need to buy some white underwear to wear with them, too. Any dark color will definitely show through, wet or dry.
