The camera is well made and feels solid. I use it as a point and shoot in auto mode because I don't want to fiddle with the settings every time I take a shot. And since I'm using it in automatic mode, I'm happy with the results, but not thrilled. What surprised me was that the photos weren't as good as my very old 6MP DSC T9 camera, which was also set to auto mode. I therefore agree with many who have said that it is not a question of the number of MEPs, but of other factors. On the H70, I don't like the long delay when turning the camera on and off - it takes too long for the lens mechanism to retract and extend. And the processing time is very long. So if you want to capture action-packed footage, be sure to use Burst mode. The image stabilization feature works well with or without zoom, and video captures look good. The camera's looks are fine, you surely know that the mechanical construction and body construction are solid. I've come to the conclusion that to get really good digital recordings, you need to spend $400 or more. It's a good solid camera, but in my opinion it performs slightly above average. My old DSC T9 works better for me which as I said was a surprise but it is what it is! I'll keep the H70 but it's not what I was hoping for. I'm not a professional photographer.
