The backing won't peel off the adhesive unless you peel it off asap!
I almost gave up and threw this roll away. There is a trick to removing the backing without removing all the glue! The trick is to start peeling (even if you see yourself peeling off the adhesive) and once you have enough backing and adhesive, quickly peel it off the reflective strip! You can cut off a small section of the tape, but eventually you'll find that the adhesive stays on the reflective strip so you can use it. Once you have the required amount, try to separate the peel from the open patch.
