They are softer than Apple straps and the buckle doesn't bother at all. The only problem is that unlike Apple's straps, the darker colors pick up tiny particles of lint and dust very easily, and to a lesser extent the lighter colors. If you leave these straps on the table overnight or floating around in a bag like I usually do, they're likely to get dusty, again this doesn't happen with Apple straps, but that's because they're obviously made of different materials. Honestly it doesn't matter, I just run it under water and then it's ok, a swipe will probably work too. Or if it's a light color I just don't mind, great stripes overall!
