We have some of these LCD drawing boards. We use them for schoolwork, notes and drawings in the car. We found the Boogie Board brand to be one of the best, with sharper writing, longer-lasting batteries, and longer shelf life than other brands. I like the concept of this board with a changeable background, but it has a few design flaws. First, one of the magnets on the back isn't strong enough. So if you try to place the board horizontally (most backgrounds are horizontal) it will slip into digital or vertical orientation. Holds perfectly vertical when a strong magnet is on top. Second, it has a lot more fingerprints than our basic boogie board. Third, there are barely visible rectangles around the edges of the LCD screen, which appear to be part of the manufacturing process, they bother me. Fourth, the cards are very difficult to insert and remove and are easily bent or chipped on the edges when replaced. The hassle of trying to change them makes them less useful than I'd like. However, I'm still happy with this board, but I like their traditional boards better.
