They make great light blankets! My daughter isn't a fan of football shorts so I looked for an alternative and found these. I haven't had any luck with her arms though, the sleeves just aren't strong enough to hold her arms and she gets frustrated and nervous because there's some kind of recoil but not enough to escape. She sleeps well in it with her arms outstretched. Sometimes it's the outer layer over the overalls, sometimes the inner layer under the diapers. In any case, it works fine. The 2-way zip is great for changing a diaper in the middle of the night, but I found I had to unzip most of the way anyway, so it's not a huge benefit.
