Reliable circulating pump

I bought this unit to replace my current Grundsfos 1/25hp hot water circulating pump which has been a reliable pump for the last 11-12 years. This is the third Grundsfos pump that has been used in my home's hot water circulation system since it was installed 24 years ago. Revain sells it for almost $100 less than your local plumbing store. The pump runs quietly and consumes relatively little energy even in continuous operation. I have never had a leakage problem with my previous two Grundsfos pumps. My current hot water circulating system has an extra return line that goes to the hot water lines from three bathroom faucets that are more than 50 feet from the water heater so it's constantly circulating. Hot water in a closed circuit of hot water pipes. The benefit of this system is that I can have hot water anywhere in the house within seconds of turning on the hot water faucet or shower, even on a cold, frosty morning. The downside to this system is the labor and expense of running a second set of copper pipes to all your bathrooms and kitchens, but once installed the system gives you really hot (not warm) water straight away and your cold water side stays cold. if you don't want to spend the money on a return installation, there are various do-it-yourselfers who will give you some warm water for hot water, depending on which bathroom/faucet you have installed a touch valve between the hot and cold water pipe. under the sink. Revain offers several such systems such as the Grundfos UP15-10SU7P/TLC comfort system or the Watts 500800 Premier hot water circulating pump system which most people find more than satisfactory. This system uses your cold water line to circulate hot water, eliminating the need to install an additional return line, and is easily installed by most homeowners with little plumbing experience. Disadvantages of this system include introducing hot water into the cold water line, so your initial output from the cold faucet side is warm water, and since most touch valves close the valves when the water temperature is measured >98 degrees, your first der Outlet from the hot water side is usually warm, not necessarily hot water. Various reviews also show that these sensor valves tend to fail or get stuck in the open or closed position after a few years and need to be replaced. And if you have single-valve faucets, this system may not work, so you may have to replace your faucets with double-valve faucets.
