The non-stick coating is much better.
I've been using it for about a month now and thought it was time to reconsider. I've had previous Zojirushi beverage containers and feel like this new model has improvements. The non-stick coating is much better with minimal cleaning. Heat retention is still very good. To protect the body from knocks and bumps, I just put it over an old thick sock. To clean the mouthpiece, I've found that a thick bristled brush does a good job of getting into all the nooks and crannies that a regular dish brush can't reach. The cap requires careful threading compared to the previous model.
