Bought for fun but surprisingly useful! Love that you can turn off the light and fan throughout the room - no need to get up to go to the switch - or take the remote with you! Easy to connect (connect 2 input power wires from ceiling/wall switch, then 3 wires to fan power/neutral/light). The kit includes nuts for wires. The remote control is already paired with the fan. Easy to connect with Alexa. With Alexa you can turn on/off the fan speed and turn on/off the lights. It has a customizable beep to confirm Alexa commands - again, it's surprisingly useful to know the fan has received a command. There is also a phone app (SmartLife). Setting the fan to low is RIGHT! It first turns the fan on at high speed for 2-3 seconds to get it moving, then turns it on to low speed - that's PERFECT and the recommended way to do it if you've read the fan instructions ;) (this minimizes the engine wear). GREAT. I have had no range issues with 2 of these units - 1 upstairs in the bedroom, one outside on the covered patio. One caveat: check the dimensions - this is a box that will fit in either the ceiling junction box or the fan box. on the ceiling - make sure you have enough space. worth your money.
