I love these I buy several pairs a year. A must have for summer. I'm 5'3 150 lbs and I wear a Large.They are a stretch jersy knit. 100% cotton. I don't like clothing that is too tight around my stomach so these yoga fold over tops are perf. No elastic wasteband. I wear them to dance, roller skate, and just around the house, they are even good to sleep in. They can sometimes ride up a bit but it's not different then any other sporty shorts. They wear out in about 6 months or so but they are cheap enough to easily replace. I also noticed the diffrent colors run different material. The black and dark grey are the best, I have some green and navy blue that just stretch too much and are too big to stay still on my body, they seem to be made out of a slightly diffrent material and ride up way way too much
