I recently adopted a Jack Russell Terrier (Buddy) who turned 6 last month. He is very well-behaved, except that he pulls hard on the leash, especially when he sees trucks, cats and/or other dogs. Walking with him is very difficult, especially since I use a crutch because of osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Until I got this collar, I used the harness on Buddy. Putting this collar on my dog was like putting Ritalin on a hyperactive child. As soon as he pulls a little, Buddy will slow down or stop. Doesn't matter! I didn't know this collar worked as a chokehold until I put it on Buddy. Unlike a choke collar, it is designed not to fly off your head with slight tension.
