It's really a strange mix of things. The Osmo Pocket has real, if not frustrating, utility, but using one or more of them at the same time will improve the device and make things worse. For example, to use the steering wheel, you understandably need to remove your smartphone. adapter, but then you have nowhere to put the adapter and you just lose it. The added buttons can't be remapped either, so one is for tracking and the other for selfies. In fact, the mount is almost useless. You can't leave anything plugged into the port while using it, and it doesn't include all the hardware to plug it into anything. It's assumed that you already have things to mount an action cam to, and if you don't you're left with little information on what to do with it. real value as it's the only thing that doesn't actively degrade the device at the same time. But at least for me it's buggy and slow. You won't want to use it when you can just connect the device to your phone. It doubles as a very wide tripod, but doesn't offer an auto-loading feature, tripod mount, or anything like that. This is important if you want to use the scroll wheel if you want, as it's now the only way to connect to your phone. Overall, the utility here is subtle at best and seems to belie the simplicity of the Osmo's design. Pocket Deals. Maybe it would be better with software and firmware updates, but if you're not serious about wheel control and want to adjust settings at the same time (via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth with your phone) then just skip it.
