Bought these for my wife who is an avid dog lover. She loved them more than any expensive branded leather shoes. We used label manufacturer DYMO to apply our information instead of a ballpoint pen or permanent marker. Seriously, my wife is very happy with this item. However, they didn't survive a single round trip. The weak point is the supplied plastic strap. We found out about this when one of our two bags came back without a tag. The plastic loop was still attached but without the tag. I understand it was probably a porter who carelessly discarded our bags and the tag got stuck on another bag. But given that all air travel is pretty tough on our luggage, you'd think this would be enough for at least a few trips. Luckily the survivor was my wife's luggage so she can keep hers, I'll just find another way to put the tag on.
