This check book cover was exactly what I wanted. nearly. The style is simple with no embellishments. The black leather is beautiful and appears to be well made. However, the plastic divider is not as wide as the checks and barely reaches the date line. If someone wants to write an account number on a check, that number will (possibly) be carried over to the check below the check it's written on. Also, the staff is only protected for the last 3/4 lines. After use, I also found that about 1/4" to 3/8" more length allows the lid to stay closed when checking and checking the panel. both registers are present. However, I prefer to use these without the visible (free!) advertising logo, which cannot be said of many more expensive leather bags.
