Absolutely perfect for the VR pulley system. There are no instructions in the box, but everything is very simple. I tested the strength by picking up the headset and dropping it (making sure the wires are attached the correct length to make sure it doesn't hit the ground), bouncing around a bit, but none of the connections moved . Pivots out of the way when not in use so I can keep my hand under the ceiling fan blades. If you have speckled drywall or a popcorn-style ceiling and can't easily attach hooks (or really don't want to drill hooks into them), this is probably your best option! No need for $100+ IKEA floor lamp stands or VR cable management mounts from AliExpress. And I could always turn on the light to stream. Excellent purchase.
