I chose this futon because it was the only futon that didn't come vacuum packed. Upon investigation, it was found that many of the complaints about other futons were due to the vacuum sealing, which permanently altered the integrity of the futon. I also didn't have the time/space to leave the vacuum packed "sunny air to breathe" for a few days as I live in a shared flat. Having seen the futon in person, I am very happy with my choice. I can't find any discrepancies between the item I received and the listing. It is exactly as described. A note for those who want to try the transition from bed to futon. You can see in my photos that I slept on the floor before installing the futon. I'm used to sleeping on the floor/futon and I really like it. Please don't think that this futon will be a soft cloud of memory foam. It's very comfortable, durable and snug fitting (exactly what I'm used to and enjoy) which is why I love this product. So please give your body time to adjust and understand that this may not work for you. If you are looking for a simple and inexpensive option for a futon cover, I recommend purchasing a plain queen size bed sheet. It's the perfect size to fold in half, sew the two sides together and make a removable case! I just tuck the extra open side under the futon (see my video)
