Great for beginners

Microneedling is very trendy. On the other hand, I don't want to spend $300 to have someone stick tiny needles in my face. Still, the idea of using one of these to boost the potency of my serums is intriguing. At 47, I admit to being a fanatic when it comes to skincare. I wash my face thoroughly before bed - after careful research, I use anti-aging products and occasionally treat myself to facials. In short, I take care of my skin and I am very happy with the results. I've read about microneedling and while you can find some negative information, most of the reviews are either positive or neutral. When I saw this I decided to give it a try - MUCH cheaper than having it done professionally! It arrived in a hard case - as others have mentioned the case is cheap plastic but it is rigid and has ridges to keep the reel in place securely. As mentioned, I washed it thoroughly before first use, and I do before every use afterwards - I don't want bacteria to get under my skin! (This is clearly stated in the instructions). As others have mentioned it doesn't hurt, there is a slight tingling sensation but nothing uncomfortable, I feel like my serums settle faster when I use this. I only use it 2-3 times a week and it's been working well for me so far. Ultimately, at this price point, this is a good buy for anyone interested in microneedling - it's easy, quick and painless to do yourself. On the other hand, I don't think it's necessary for skin care. The right serum/moisturizer will work for your skin, regardless, in short it's kind of a fad for me, but it's a fun and quirky little addition to your skincare routine.
