So I chose this camera for my home after being unhappy with several other camera sets I've tested in the past. Ultimately I settled on a fixed rig to get these cameras out and after a few months I'm not very happy with the overall situation. Let's start with the good; The wireless range is very good, and even though the dash cam is in a room on the other side of my house, even the camera in my garage (through about 10 thick walls and over 50 feet) still works fine 99% of the time. . The app is responsive and allows me to set up movements for each camera, as well as different alarm times, etc. The DVR itself is quite responsive with a mouse (or remote) and has all the features you could possibly need. People recognition is also quite good from a distance and even at night. I've been getting notifications at night from people crossing the street on the other side of the block and he's still catching them. Now let's talk about the bad and the indifferent; The biggest point of criticism is the angle of the cameras. it's pathetic to say the least. My front door camera sees almost nothing when I had a camera there that could see my entire front door and cars. this does not even cover the entire area of the front door. I have 4 cameras and the 3 front cameras have more blind spots than my ONE previous camera. The second "note" is the motion detection wavelength; These cameras seem to randomly activate my motion sensors. That's right; CAMERA TURNS ON THE LIGHT. I turned off the traffic light 3 times and it still happens. so it must have something to do with the IR wavelength the camera is emitting to detect motion. The third "note" is that the cameras are wall plugged in and the cables aren't very long (see Running cables to get the cameras to work. I literally had to install ceiling outlets all over the house to be able to switch off The cameras. To have this camera, cameras must have cables that are about 20 feet long so they can be plugged in elsewhere. Otherwise, installation isn't much easier than regular wired cameras. The last "thing" is that there is "cloud storage" that pops out and the security of the data is questionable. Previously, many of these small camera brands disappeared completely after a few months or a year. So I would be wary of giving my data to a company whose future is unclear. Luckily the dash cam has its own hard drive so I don't have to use cloud storage at all! Overall it's a "good" camera set considering bed This means that the security cables do not have to be run all over the house.
