I've had the approach for a few months now and it's pretty much everything I could have hoped for! I don't have to reach for or carry the scope to shoot when I'm walking off a cart, I can just look at my watch and instantly see the distance. It even shows the distance to traps, ponds, streams and bends. I have a GolfNow membership so I play a lot of different courses and rarely play more than once or twice in the same round. That makes the watch really priceless! At a distance they are very accurate. If you just got them, I wouldn't rush to learn the new features. Start recording your lap and using distance measurements. Then set up an account. Next time use the features to look for obstacles. Finally, you can use other features like distance measurement or pin location.!WARNING!If you charge your watch on a charger that is NOT connected to the internet, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR COURSES AND CANNOT USE IT FOR GOLF UNTIL YOU CONNECT TO ARE GARMIN EXPRESS AND DO NOT LOAD THE FIELDS. ONLY CHARGE THIS WATCH ON A COMPUTER THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET! I only charge mine at home where I have Garmin Express installed. The charging issue is really the only major downside. I love the stats provided through the Garmin Golf app and website. There are a few improvements they could make to it, but it works well enough for me. One problem is that sometimes images showing golf swings you've made can contain misinformation. I think it's worse for me because you have to wear your watch on your left hand and I'm left-handed and play right-handed. So when I use my golf watch hand (lead hand is on the left), which is a lot, I can get an incorrect hit on my stats. I would agree, but I can't remove them from the app. If you're right-handed, a golf watch on your left hand probably won't have this problem (at least not to the same degree). Of course, I only addressed the aspect of the golf watch. It also tracks your steps, heart rate, and other activities. I'm a golfer so I can talk about golf. I know that when you run or bike, it records the activity on the map, shows you the distance, average speed, etc. from the app after you finish the activity, and saves it to your watch. These are great watches. I highly recommend it.
