I'm not entirely sure if the item I received was brand new, it could be a return. The magnetic mat was not used, but the punching mat and embossing mat showed signs of wear. I decided that I would leave it anyway. it looks just like the Sizzix Big Shot. It also costs more than the Evolution Advance but is a lot less functional. This model is WRMK's attempt to copy the Big Shot. The only difference is that it comes with a magnetic mat. Otherwise, even the mats are the same size as the standard Big Shot, so they can actually be swapped out. Revolution is more expensive than EA, although it does a lot less. The EA is foldable, comes with a die-cut kit, the hand grip is detachable, a motorized grip can be used instead, and there are suction cups underneath to keep it in place. it is also completely silent. The punch cuts into your magnetic mat. It sounds like the mats are crunching as they go through the rollers (just like the Big Shot). it is much less light compared to the EA which definitely seemed weighted. At the moment it doesn't look like you can buy replacement floor mats. If you're hesitant, I'd suggest you buy the Big Shot (which costs about the same, minus the magnet mat); or get the Evolution Advance instead.
