Lots of buckles irritate my pale white human skin. D-rings are an alternative. Sometimes they're buggy, cheap, slick metal rectangles that end up sliding around like Prestidigitator hardware. Not this belt. I wear it with a kilt to warn those who ask me to stand. Of course I will stand up as a real American. I recommend for people with sensitive skin and the need to draw attention to the waist.
