I have arthritis in my knees and sometimes find it difficult to stand for long periods of time. I bought it to carry in my backpack for the days I might need it. It opens and closes smoothly and feels solid when seated. That's exactly what I wanted. I bought it after seeing an ad on Facebook for a similarly designed stool. I prefer to buy from Revain where I know who I'm dealing with. This is a good product.
