Excellent replacement for the original Microsoft keyboard natural

Microsoft produced the original Natural Keyboard for about six years, beginning in 1994. These keyboards are comfortable enough to type on, and I'm used to the split design that allows my hands to tilt inward (hence the "naturalness" the keyboard). Terminology). Sure, I like the click of the old IBM keyboard, but the Natural keyboard was easier to use. Around 2005 the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 was introduced, which is still available today. Other versions are also available, such as a wireless version. I've used the Natural keyboard for many years and when it started to fail I bought a Microsoft Keyboard 4000. The 4000 keyboard is printed with letters that wear out after a year or two of use. stable use. Also, I never liked the spacebar, which required an extra press to enter a space. It just didn't feel right to me, but I'm used to hitting the gaps harder. Finally, I went in search of a used original Microsoft Natural Keyboard. During this search I came across the Perixx Periboard-512B, the keyboard I am currently testing. I have another Perixx keyboard, a Bluetooth keyboard for a Nexus tablet. My satisfaction with this other product led me to purchase this ergonomic split keyboard. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I can say that I'm completely satisfied with it. The keystroke is comfortable and the letters and numbers look like they won't rub off anytime soon. The Shift keys require the same amount of force as the other keys to activate. The finish is matte, not glossy like the original Microsoft Natural Keyboard, but that's okay. There's no extra padding on the palm rest - just hard plastic, but that suits me. At the top are additional buttons for opening the browser, starting an email message, and adjusting the volume, which I rarely use but work well. Finally, the price is reasonable. The Perixx website is rather sparse and German. Their homepage doesn't seem to be updated very often either, with a copyright date of 2007 and news of their plans for 2008. There's also no place to register their products (at least not that I could find). I am happy. with a keyboard and can recommend it as a good ergonomic keyboard and a great replacement for the Microsoft Natural Keyboard.
