Screen display and color are terrible

I spent endless hours getting the color and screen right on this portable monitor. First, it was so dark and all I had to do was turn on the backlight. The color is far off and I've calibrated and reset it a few times. Colors that should be white look like beige, and colors that should be blue are gray-green, and yellow looks brown. The colors are not bright, not even with bright settings, but only very pale. I can't even use the light setting because everything gets darker except the green which is fluorescent green! Also, words, fonts, and text are extremely blurry. And the text is cracked and faded (should be black, looks a bit like a pixelated grey-blue). It's terrible because I need it for work. Also, it's advertised as a laptop or laptop monitor, but when I plug it in, the display settings say it's a TV. If so, that would explain the blurry text and I didn't really get what advertised and what I paid for which was way overpriced for this poor quality product! I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this monitor if indeed it is a monitor or product that I thought I would buy.
