This product does not fully absorb your baby's urine, you can still ruin the diaper and get his clothes wet, but it prevents the baby from urinating on his face and depending on how much he urinates, the urine can all urine can be absorbed without leaks. My son is 5 weeks old and he will soak the whole little tipi and then some. I change his diaper when he is least restless (after feeding) and he is usually calm enough not to fall. I would not recommend using this product for a picky child or they will fall over. While it may not be a perfect product, it has reduced the number of times we urinate and the number of nappies wasted.
