Ok I originally wrote a review about this but now it's gone. Now I've had the lights installed for a week or two so I have a new understanding and since I can't see my old review I'll assume I didn't post it and start over. those lights for 1-2 weeks and decided that the one I wasn't totally in love with was actually a good thing. The lights are incredibly easy to install, 3 fairly easy to access screws and 1 wire. I have a chrome bumper so your mileage may vary if you have a sport but on my Laramie I was talking about a 10-20 minute job either way. I installed them after sitting in my truck all night in 10-20 degree weather so I was very nervous about the fragility of the plastic but no problem2. The headlights don't bounce when I'm driving (as most of you know the OE design isn't perfect and I took mine out and drilled through to fit the grommet before I bought it) and they mostly lined up right out of the box Box. I will say here that the spring and this piece of plastic doesn't look as reliable as the originals, but given the price of such things when you look at the originals it lived up to my expectations.3. The light has a good cut-off - actually that was my only complaint initially because I had already fitted the LED bulbs into my stock housings and they weren't that bright when I saw them against the wall - there I was wrong - when I'm actually driving a truck, hitting the nebulae gives me the same illuminated distance as before, only they're brighter at that distance (you can see the light being focused like a projector beam in my photo) and they do don't dazzle others. I've had turn signals in the past and always assumed it was my headlights when a smaller car approached me, but I've never had a blink since installing them - I believe my fog lights illuminated the LED beam enough that they it was the culprits. Huge scores for this product here.4. The actual mounting assembly is very close to OEM and even includes a wire harness hole for you to plug into. See my photo to see what I'm talking about, but the cases are very similar in shape and size to the plastic itself.5. Back to my HID headlights, they are a nice bright white color and match my HID projectors very well. The lens is good, the internal assembly looks good and the performance is amazing. Also, the lens cap says DOT - not sure if they're actually certified as we don't have inspections here - but I think the way it's labeled would be enough to slip through if that's the case. One thing to note is that the black case has a matte or semi-gloss finish. I originally had chrome projectors on my truck and removed the cover and cleaned off the chrome with oven cleaner which left me with a nice shiny black finish. Luckily they match up pretty well with the lens cap on the nebulae, which gets me a lot closer to dechroming the front of my Ram.
