This product holds my ties in place and does it very well. My ties were snapped because of the tie clips, the chains were snapped or untied, but the tie was still loose. I had to go to an important meeting and keep checking to see if my tie had moved to my side. But this product keeps the tie straight, completely invisible and will not damage shirts or jackets. Easy to put on and won't fall off when you work 12-14 hours. I move around a lot, visit institutions and things like that and it stays in place and my tie doesn't come off. It won't wrinkle the tie like tie rods and won't let the tie move like a tie chain. I usually use a safety pin to hold the little "tail" of the tie in place and the tie stays attached to the main body of the tie. I just have to check the knot every now and then and the tie still looks great after a long day at work! I was concerned about the spacing between the holes and that the bands would still move a little side to side when using this product, but when I used it my concerns were unfounded. The plastic is wide enough to fill the tag slot on the back of the tie to keep the tie from moving. And the holes are perfectly placed with a small margin of error to fit all my shirts. I was very satisfied with the functionality of this product. However, after about a week of use, the plastic around the buttonhole has warped slightly and I estimate that this particular tie will be useless after about a month of use. There are five in a pack. So if you wear ties every day (I wear ties six days a week) this pack of five will last you 5-8 months. In my opinion, this is acceptable (nothing lasts forever, and some products are disposable, like car brakes or toothbrushes). So if you're looking for a great way to keep your ties in place without ruining the fabric, this is a great deal!
