Device detaches and falls on impact

BLUF: If the device collides or the vehicle is driven on a rough/bumpy road, the device detaches and falls to the ground and easy to install. An unfortunate design flaw of the device is a four-prong mounting pad. When attaching the clip/device holder, it does not "snap" into place (no frictional connection). It slides about 1/4 inch and there is no "friction" holding the device clamp to the device holder. Therefore, during installation, if the device is bumped or if the vehicle is driven on an uneven/bumpy road, the device's clamp will be released - the device will fall to the ground/ground. Pray the impact doesn't damage your device. Cell phone holders have similar attachment mechanisms. However, phone holders "snap" (an anti-friction holding device) and your phone won't fall off. If the device wasn't prone to detaching, I would give it 6 stars in all categories. So if you enjoy playing Russian Roulette, you will damage your devices. , this device holder is for you!
