Review on HomePop Velvet Storage Ottoman Removable Furniture ~ Accent Furniture by Renee Sagdalen

Just perfect, almost

I had an MCM end table next to a chair in the playroom that was damaged by family members. He was so scratched that I couldn't look at him anymore. I had no intention of investing hundreds of dollars in another table just to do the same thing again. I decided to replace the table with an ottoman. It should be dark purple and covered in fabric, not that ridiculous faux leather that peels off if you look at it the wrong way. As you might guess, the options were extremely limited. It was the perfect dark purple that I like. It provides storage space so all remote controls can be hidden away when not in use. It is covered with fabric and protected with tape. I will also get a round glass top so drinks can be safely placed on the table. When I screwed on the legs I found that I liked them inside out rather than inside out as shown in the product listing. It looks better when the legs are more hidden. If I were to use it as a stool, I think it would be more durable with the legs pointing outwards. Here's my only complaint: I wish the body of the ottoman was a little bigger. I understand. At this price I should be happy with it and I am. I would pay more if it was higher. I found a bigger one, but it seems that as they get bigger, they also get bigger in diameter. I didn't want a 30 inch ottoman as a side table! I can shop for a new pair of legs to adjust to my height. I think brushed nickel would look nice. Once a fabric protector is added, a glass top is purchased and new legs are sourced, it's not a big deal, but it's still cheaper than buying a new table and will certainly last longer. no scratch.
