Very strong and easy to assemble. The instructions were as clear as your standard Ikea instructions. Parts are marked so pay attention to the direction. The slats attach to each other with Velcro, allowing them to fall down and lock securely in place in seconds. We used this with a non-sprung memory foam mattress. The spacing between the boards is narrow enough to work well with this one. Once assembled, it becomes solid as a rock. No noise, no movement. The only thing I would change is that it would be nice if the legs were a few inches from the edge. They go straight down from the corners and edges, making it easy to hurt your toes.
