I only use the curved silicone tips that are supposed to keep the AirPods from falling out of my ears, but they work just fine. The only problem is that you don't want to take them off after struggling to put them on your AirPods, so you can't close the charging cover. However, they will still be loaded from the base, so reloading will not be affected.
