Review on πŸ’‘ High/Low Focus LED Headlight Bulb H8/H9/H11 - Error Free All-in-one Super Bright Conversion Kit - CanBus Ready - Halogen Replacement - Fog Light by John Kennedy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive, much brighter than halogens and with a perfect radiation pattern OEM

provided the LED light is brighter and uses less power than a comparable incandescent/halogen lamp. One of my main concerns with aftermarket LED bulbs is their radiation pattern - as you can see the halogen emits light 360 degrees while the LED headlight only emits light from two directions. I'm happy to report that my concern was unfounded as these headlights were once properly aligned and exactly matched the OEM radiation pattern (see photo). EASY INSTALLATION. These headlights are quite compact in size, although they are fan cooled they are an exact replacement for your standard halogen bulbs without any additional tools or fixtures. The headlight consists of a detachable ring that fits into the H8/H9/H11 socket of your headlight. Then you can just plug in a real headlight. The headlight is held in place by friction between the adapter just inserted into the headlight and the built-in rubber rings. In my opinion, this design with removable rubber rings is both a plus and a minus. For professionals - this makes adjusting the orientation of your LED light very easy with a simple twist - you can use it to precisely match OEM beam pattern or position may change over time due to shock/vibration. The detachable adapter ring also means it's very difficult to twist it into the headlight for a secure lock, as there's so little room to twist (it's literally a ring) and there's no point locking it in the adapter with the headlight - because it just slips off - I'm deducting a star for this reason alone. ALIGNMENT - Because LED bulbs only emit light from two sides, it's super important to align them with your headlight with the correct alignment to ensure sharp clipping (and avoid glare oncoming traffic) as well as optimal spread. With these headlights, the LED chips must always be aligned laterally, i.e. to the left and right, in order to obtain the correct light pattern as the starting position. You can then make small adjustments to match the beam pattern of your original bulbs, but with the car facing the wall. abrupt switch-off so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic. Really very impressive. BRIGHTNESS / BEAM PATTERN / FAN NOISE. These headlights are very bright and white. They are far superior to halogens in terms of brightness/scatter and range. With the low beam, they illuminate a much larger area and farther than halogen lamps. As explained in the previous section, once you line them up, the beam cut of these headlights is exactly the same as halogen headlights and has a much wider and wider spread. You only hear the fans. works very poorly with the hood closed and the engine off. as soon as the engine is on. You can't hear them (watch the video) FINAL THOUGHTS Overall I'm very impressed with these LED headlights as they are much brighter, have far more range and spread than OEM halogen bulbs while still perfectly matching the beam pattern fit and cut off the OEM bulbs. The only reason I gave them four stars is that the removable ring design prevented me from getting a secure lock in a lightweight body and the rubber grip can loosen over time from vibration/shock.
