If your laptop is relatively new, it has one or more USB-C ports, and if the computer and operating system support video and audio over USB-C, then here it is Mini docking station, sold for a fraction of the price of a full-fledged docking station, will--not fully serve you. Audio: check. Video in one of 3 formats: check. (VGA? Really? Maybe an old monitor?) Pass-Through Loading: Yes. USB ports: no. Keyboard and mouse can therefore not be connected. This is a serious shortcoming, especially on part of the keyboard. You may need to find a USB hub that is compatible with your peripherals and connect it to a different USB port on your laptop. So you connect at least two things instead of just one and get something like a Rube Goldberg circuit. To be honest, many other similar devices have the exact same disadvantage. For the most part, I don't see any real comfort in using them. I give this three stars. It does what it says on the tin but, in my opinion, that's not enough to justify its purchase.
