Review on Westinghouse Lighting 0322600 15W Incandescent Bulb by Lisa Stubbs

I've been using these 15T4/E 12 bulbs for my five-bulb 48" picture light for a number of years. They illuminate a 48" x 35" screen and distribute the light very well over the entire surface Despite their small size they generate quite a bit of heat and within minutes of being switched on it is impossible to touch them. However, I was very surprised at how long these bulbs lasted before I had to replace one. We have paintings throughout the house, all of which are lit in one way or another.These lights come on every day and go out when I go to bed.In light of this I can say that Westinghouse 15T4 bulbs will last at least a year or more before I replace one have to replace four lightbulbs in five years!However, we are trying to reduce the cost/power consumption,so I've recently replaced them all with a LED/E12 fitting compatible version Now (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CRHG63Y/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0). , They are not that bright, but do not heat up at all. The 15T4 bulbs had another feature; the inside of the bulb really begins to turn into a sort of bronze-blue color characteristic of small bulbs that burn hot for a long time. Strange as it sounds, this fading doesn't seem to affect the intensity of the light transmitted (see for yourself). I gave these bulbs five stars because they are very reliable and last a long time and who can argue with the price? I think they're worth the money and if you're looking for a bulb where heat isn't a problem then this is it.
