They use a lot of color

This case is well made and makes your passport stand out. I had to wash with saddle soap to wash off the excess paint. When it was dry I applied a few coats of neutral shoe wax to the outside. This helps protect the leather from dirt and oil in the hands that handle it. From time to time, remove your passport, clean the cover and wax it again. It should last for many years.
