Excellent passive air freshener/filter. Like many others, I got this for my fridge. I put it in my fridge and after a few hours my fridge smelled fresh. It works way better than a box of baking soda. I used to have a faint smell of sour milk and spices in my fridge, but nothing now. Even if I open the freezer. As air flows from the freezer to the refrigerator, there is always some air and odor that can reside in either compartment. Now my whole fridge smells fresh from the freezer side. The package had absolutely no odor that I could detect when I opened it. Since I am sensitive to several chemicals, it is very important to me that it does not give off any inherent odor. So far I'm very happy. I know they say it can be charged in the sun and if that works I'll buy a few more for other places, a passive odor absorber would be useful in my house.
