There is enough light and it is great for video conferencing, FaceTime calls and even selfies. But the clip isn't wide enough to attach it to anything other than your laptop or phone without a case. I couldn't stick it on my iPhone which has a very thin cover. I couldn't mount it to a full size monitor at all. But for a laptop selfie light I think that's fine.
