Very light and clearly NOT real leather. My scissors, which laboriously cut through my last belt, easily cut through this belt, which is another clear sign that it is fake. It also has a very strange non-leather material and a strange rough material on the inside of the strap. However, it was packaged in a very nicely packaged box with a spare screw and screw hole and hole punch tool. I have yet to test it for strength and will update this if it breaks. 2 week update: The faux leather layer is already peeling away from the edges of the strap, revealing the "cardboard box" underneath. I'm glad it's just a working belt. I would never wear that with a fancy dress. Not only can I not recommend this belt, but I urge you, dear reader, to look elsewhere.
